STORY OVERVIEW:
On the world of Hydaelyn  in the realm of Eorzea.  A realm with a wide variety of terrain from mountains and dessert, to forest to shores.  Along with the surrounding cities.  Home to man and beast alike.  A magical energy that flow through the planet and everything on it called, “Aether”, has been the catalyst to war in an attempt to control it.
Eons ago, gods and goddesses alike inhabited this land, and the settling tribes amongst them called them, “The Twelve.”  The gods gave the settler prosperity and wealth during what was called the, “First Umbral Era,” but continued war between the tribes lead to The Twelve to vanish.  Since then there have been six era and each has borne an element of its time.
In Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn, players take place after the fall of, “Dalamud” which signifies the, “7th Umbral Era.”

RACES: (Brief overview)

Players will have a choice between five different races, each with unique breed within their respected race.  The races are as such:

-Hyur (or the human like race)-  Hyur’s come two types.  Midlanders and Highlanders.  Midlanders are your typical sized human, and they tend to live in more low lying regions and plains.  Whereas the Highlanders tend to live up to their name and prefer more mountainous regions and are distinguishably a much bigger build than Midlanders.

-Miqo’te (animal like race)- What was once only available in the female gender in the last installment, now available in both male and female.  The two breeds they come in are the, “Seekers of the Sun,” and, “Keepers of the Moon.”  As their names imply, one prefers the day and the other is more nocturnal.

-Elezen (Elf like race)- Also known as the natives of the land.  Prideful as they might be, over time they have learned to accept the coexistence of other races.  Most of them anyways.  The two breeds they come in are the, “Wildwood,” and the, “Duskwight.”  The first being more at home in the forest while the other is more of a cavern dweller.

-Roegadyn (Gigantic race)- Obviously know to be the more massive and muscular of all the races.  The two breeds are the, “Sea Wolves,” and the, “Hellsguard.”  Sea wolves, also known as sailors, tend to stay and run the ports.  Hellsguard are more known to sell swords and work as bodyguards.

-Lalafell (childlike race)- These little workers are some clever people.  Their most famous trade is building trade routes.  The Lafafell are well known workers of the land.  The first breed being,“Plainsfolk,” the farmers and the fishers.  The other being the,  “Dunesfolk”, the sand dwellers and business dealers.

Also, try and have fun with making your character.  The customization process is very thorough, and has a wide variety of options to build your character.

CLASSES:
Another fun attribute to look forward to is Final Fantasy 14 classes.  This of course will decide what type of actions and skill sets you will be learning throughout the game.  Also, you can change classes at any time.  It’s as simple as switching out your gear.  There are four disciplines your character can take up each with its own different lines of classes.

There are many classes to choose from, but you won’t be limited to just one.  In fact it is essential for you to train and advance you character in multiple classes in order to unlock hidden skills that will not only be more powerful in many cases but also very useful all together.  Even more important to make note of is that some races are better suited for some classes than others so if you’re looking to maximize your stats then be sure to check out the
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A REALM REBORN CLASS GUIDE.

Not to mention for those of you want to maximize you time in training you character then have no fear.  We have a guide for LEVELING UP as well.  Just cause we all know you’re going to want to reach the level cap quicker not to mention make multiple characters.
Then as an added bonus we also have a guide on collecting GIL.  Nothings more frustrating than leveling up for equipment and accessories and then find out you don’t even have the funds to get it.
The best deal you can get of course would be the BUNDLE DEAL.  With this you get all the guides for one pretty amazing low price.  Though in the end it's really up to you on what you need most.
All in all, I hope this has been a fairly informative review and has given you a good idea as to what to expect when you purchase the game if you haven’t already.  In the end, hope you all enjoy the game and have fun.
